This step can be quite expensive. Targeting specific keywords/phrases on specific search engines is a time-consuming task. And, since the search engines are always changing, it is very difficult to keep up with the latest techniques. However, this procedure is a very important factor in where and how you will rank in search engines. We do not use keyword spamming! Keyword spamming (simply repeating the same word many times) used to be a very effective way to get good listings on the search engines. Now, using those "tricks" can prevent your site from getting listed or, even worse, can get your site banned.

Search Engine Submission

We submit your site to about 20 key search engines, which account for almost all the search engine activity on the Internet. Submitting your site to 100's or 1000's of search engines and directories is a joke, if not a scam, and is utterly worthless. In most cases, we do have to pay fees to be included in the search engines. In the past, they would include sites for free, but they have been going to paid submissions in the last few years, and we now recommend budgeting money for search engine fees.

Result order of search engines - The first results, usually at the top of the page, are the paid sponsorships. These are pay per click results and may or may not be seen on every page. Next, search engines will list their own directory results. Inclusion in these results is done by a paid program or *DMOZ. Lastly, web site (or page) results will be listed.

Hand Submission - Our cheapest service. This method of submitting is our most inexpensive, but also the most unreliable and time consuming. Unreliable because search engines have thousands of submissions at a time and never guarantee that your site will be listed. More than often, sites will not even be listed because of minute mistakes or even being overlooked. On the same token, this is time consuming because of time it takes to get listed. While some engines claim a 2-4 week listing wait, most have a 4-8 or 8-12 week waiting period, sometimes even more.

The hand submission is fairly simple. We will directly submit your site's URL to the top engines accepting this type of submission, including Google, Lycos, AOL Websites, Netscape, *DMOZ (Open Directory), Altavista, and several others.

* DMOZ submission - DMOZ produces directory results in engines such as, AOL Search, DirectHit, HotBot, Google, Lycos, and Netscape Search. Directory results will usually be viewed before web page results and, in many cases, may be equally or more valuable then paid partner and paid inclusion submissions.

Partner Submissions - These type of submissions will guarantee express inclusion into an engine's web site results. Depending on the partner, your site will be held at the top tier of the web page results. These are fairly in expensive programs that produce fast and thorough inclusion.

Inktomi Submit - Fast 48-72 Hour, inclusion into the Inktomi Search Engine database powering MSN, HotBot, Overture, About, and Looksmart. Your Web Page will also be refreshed every 48 hours. Your URL (Web Page) stays included in Inktomi's database for 12 months.

Ask Jeeves / Teoma Submit - Fast 7 day, inclusion into the database powering Ask.com and Teoma.com. Your Web Page will also be refreshed every 7 days. Your URL (Web Page) stays included in this powerful database for 12 months.

AltaVista Express Inclusion - Fast three-business day inclusion into the database powering AltaVista. Daily refreshes (weekday only) of your URLs so that customers always see your freshest content. Cost effective implementation. Your URL (Web Page) stays included in this powerful database for 6 months.

Paid Inclusion - This method will reach millions of targeted customers and generate highly qualified leads by listing your brand, products, and services in the directory search results of the major search engines and portals, including, MSN, About, Altavista, Netscape, InfoSpace, CNN.com, and CNET. It relies on a click-through fee, which means every time a user clicks on a link to your site, you will be charged. The fee is a very low, fixed rate, and you select your monthly budget. A one time setup fee and first month deposit do apply.

Paid Sponsorship - Our paid sponsorship partner reaches over 80% of internet users by placing your site in top listings on a slew of the biggest engines, portals, directories, and meta searches. This pay-by-click program is probably the most expensive, but also the most effective and result producing.
